Information
We have booked a private resort to be our wedding venue for the extended weekend. This is a beach front resort with a pool, rooms, restaurant & bar, all in the same location. Our idea for this wedding, is to spend time with our closest family and friends, and for everyone to enjoy our wedding vacation together!
RSVP & OSA
First things first: OSA means RSVP in Swedish & RSVP means OSA in English.
Phew! Now that we got passed our first—though certainly not our last—language barrier, let's dive into the details:
We ask our guests to kindly communicate two responses:
June 30th - We ask you to please communicate your preliminary YES/NO by this date; this will serve as your room reservation.
September 30th - This is the official RSVP/OSA date where you let us know if you will be attending our wedding or not.
You can read more about all of this and submit your preliminary response by June 30th under the “rooms” page by clicking your assigned group.
Guest Contribution
While we’re doing our best to make this celebration more affordable for everyone, we are asking for a guest contribution for each room. To see the amount for your specific room and what it includes, please go to the “rooms” page and click your assigned group - your group and password was provided in the initial message from Coralys or Jonathan.
!! Please consider this contribution as your wedding gift, we do not want any other gifts - your presence is the gift !!
Guest Expenses
Example of additional expenses our guests are responsible for include:
Flight tickets
Hotel nights outside of the March 4-8 dates
Lunch - you can order at resort restaurant
Any activities such as a boat trip or golf
Drinks - guests may purchase drinks at the bar. They will likely be around $5/beer and $10/cocktail.
Kid-friendly?
Yes, of course! We have taken full families into account when assigning the rooms so kids are not only welcome, they are encouraged. To give our guests a better idea, we have invited:
14 kids 0-6 years old
4 kids 6-15 years old
Wedding & Attire
The wedding will be a simple beach setting. This means it will likely be hot so we suggest our guests to dress accordingly—think linen shirts and summer dresses. Suits will probably be too hot and high heels likely too difficult to walk in.
As Coralys is a fashion designer, she has of course created a mood board for wedding attire inspiration, please click here to view.
Weather
Weather in March is mostly sunny but because it’s a tropical climate rain showers are common. High of about 29°C/84°F and low of around 20°C/68°F at night. If it rains, it will still be hot. The high humidity makes it feel warmer as well so be prepared to drink a lot :)
