Our Recommendations

We recommend you stay in one of these three locations:

  1. Cabarete - 20min from wedding resort, a small town

  2. Sosúa - 40min, a medium-sized town

  3. Puerto Plata - 1h, a large town

We recommend you book airport transfer directly with the hotel you’re staying at so they can help arrange pick up/drop off at airport with their preferred chauffeurs. You can rent a car, but many foreigners find it challenging to drive in the D.R so we don’t recommend it. To give our guest a better understanding about costs, Hotel Villa Taína quoted us $35 transfer to/from POP airport & $100 to/from STI for up to 4 people each way.

Below is one option for regular hotel in Cabarete as well as a 5 star all-inclusive hotel in Puerto Plata. The Dominican Republic is famous for its all-inclusive beachfront resorts. There are, of course, plenty more to choose from online.
